General Nazgrim

Well... Well... Well... General Nazgrim and those pesky Shaman. If you have made it to  General Nazgrim you have probably realized that the War-shaman Earth-shield, Healing Totem and Chain heal really do heal up the Ol' General for a LOT! You also may have realized that if your raid is all over the place so are the ads.  /scratcheshead. Well, we have come up with an unorthodox strategy that should help you out. It might take a few wipes to get it, but once you got it, its a NO-BRAINER.

NOTE* Let me just say, it is beyond the scope of this blog to lay out all of the mechanics verbatim that will happen in the fight. I am going to give you a simple LAMEN'S approach. Always.

Now, May I present to you the battlefield:

This is how we set up the fight. A question you might ask:

Q: Why in the world do you tank the boss by the entry instead of where he is at in the room?

A: Tanking the boss by the entryway will help your melee get maximum DPS on adds by not having to run around so much.

Have all of your heals and raged stack loosely in the recommended position. This is keep the orange stuff from making so many lines on the ground when Nazgrim does his Heroic Shockwave. When he leaps, get out of the way then stack back up (DO THIS AUTOMATICALLY AND DONT WAIT TO BE TOLD). If you have DBM ,which by the way you should, take heed to the following image.

"Next Adds" is very important. Now that you know about this you should not have any excuse to NOT be on your game. For this strat to work it is imperative that you KILL THAT FREAKING SHAMAN WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE!!! I can't stress that enough. When the shaman comes up KILL THAT SORRY %^&*. Chances are he/she made fun of your mother. If you have a DK, Strangulate the shaman, then freeze it with remorseful winter. There is no reason this add should live more than 5-10 seconds.

DEFENSIVE STANCE: Just stop. Yes Stop. Jeeze... Take the time here to kill an ad. :-P

Rinse and Repeat.

Nearing Execution Phase:

At 20% Take the boss to the front of the room to where he was originally. Trust me there is a reason. Continue the fight like you have been.  When the boss is at 11%-14% Pop Hero. And NUKE. Have one of your Tanks in position to Round up the shamans in the back of the Room for this nuke phase.

This Strat works. We use it every week with 2 or 3 healers. Please feel free to leave a comment or question.
